The global statistical test, or GST, assesses the overall treatment effect across a defined set of endpoints and produces a single p-value for the set. The global statistical test can be useful when a clinical question is multidimensional, but meaningful interpretation depends on how the endpoints relate, their expected direction of effect and the planned analysis.
